Delifonseca

The restaurant group, who have venues on Liverpool’s Stanley Street and Brunswick Dock, have gone all out this Valentines Day with exclusive menus prepared by their talented team of chefs.

Delifonseca Stanley Street are serving up a special set menu for lovers this February 14th, with aphrodisiac ingredients sure to get hearts racing!

The starter sharing platter includes filo-wrapped crispy asparagus and baked oyster rockafella, with mains such as ‘Fonseca’s’ individual Welsh black beef fillet wellington – pan seared beef wrapped in flaky puff pastry with mushroom duxelle and duck liver pate – all served with beef dripping fondant potato and roasted root vegetables.

And for dessert, a choice of Fonseca’s chocolate fondant with Horlicks ice cream, white chocolate and pistachio dipped strawberry or Brie de Meaux served with truffle honey and crostini toasts.

Meanwhile, Delifonseca Dockside are offering a specially developed three-course menu, comprising of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes including swordfish ceviche with blood orange dressing, tempura vegetables with chipotle chilli jam and spinach tart with horseradish cream.

The main course menu is something really quite special, offering rare-breed cote de boeuf, zaatar-roasted cauliflower steak with toasted pine nuts, fried sprouts and a tahini dressing, salmon and tenderstem broccoli ‘lasagne’ with a gorgonzola sauce or supreme of chicken with artichoke puree, wild mushrooms, cavolo nero and crispy kale.

Delifonseca Stanley Street are hosting 2 sittings on Valentines Day, at 6pm and 8pm. Delifonseca Dockside are offering bookings throughout the evening, with a complimentary bottle of fizz for diners between 5-6pm.

Trattoria 51

Trattoria 51 is set to bring some Italian heat in time for Valentines Day.

The Old Hall Street eatery will celebrate the most romantic time of year with its aptly named ‘Week of Love at Trattoria 51’ (or ‘Settimana D’amore a Trattoria 51’ in Italian) where diners can enjoy heart-warming Valentine’s Day specials between February 10 and February 17.

Exclusive Valentine’s Day offerings will include king scallops wrapped in speck ham, parma ham-wrapped asparagus served with a poached egg, and garlic mushroom and dolcelatte bruschetta.

Mains include chicken supreme stuffed with porcini mushrooms served on a prosecco risotto, Scottish beef fillet mignon, fillet of seabass served with crushed new potatoes and asparagus and vegetable risotto with asparagus and grilled goats cheese.

And for a sweet treat, diners can indulge in a sharing platter of Valentine’s inspired desserts.

Heritage

The team at Castle Street’s newest venue, Heritage, are planning to lure lovers with a tasty, hearty menu this Valentines Day.

Serving up 2 or 3 courses, including a choice of the restaurants signature dishes, that offer up tasty, traditional options with a modern twist.

Diners can choose from the Heritage mixed grill – which isn’t exactly what it says on the tin. This version entails quail kebab, rare roast beef, crispy ham and egg with peese pudding.

And for vegetarians, the Heritage veggie plate – roast butternut squash, celeriac, beetroot, chickpeas, roasted onion, zataar and flat bread.

Love-birds can enjoy a laid-back, casual atmosphere and a good selection of signature cocktails.

Silk Rd

One of Liverpool city centre’s latest additions, Silk Rd is the perfect dining destination for couples looking to try something new this Valentine’s Day.

Located in Liverpool’s Beetham Plaza, the recently-opened eatery is offering three courses, complemented by a glass of fizz for £19.55 per person exclusively on February 14.

Silk Rd’s expansive menu is inspired by delicacies from across the cross-continental Silk Road trail, with all dishes created using fresh and authentic ingredients. Verdant

Chic Allerton eatery, Verdant, is offering an exclusive, one-off menu for couples looking to celebrate their love with some fine dining this Valentines Day.

The restaurants award-winning chefs have created a sumptuous three course Valentines menu, complete with cocktail on arrival and bottle of Prosecco, that they claim will get their diners in the mood for romance.

Diners can enjoy exquisite dishes, with starters such as oyster tempura, clams and tiger prawns cooked in a reduction of white wine, lemon and chilli.

Main courses include pan-seared duck breast, with leek and potato rosti, baby carrots cooked in a coriander butter and champagne raspberry glaze, and selection of lamb with braised boneless shank, roasted rump and cutlet served with butternut squash puree, tender broccoli and potatoes, all garnished with a redcurrant port.

Suites Hotel & Spa is set to offer ‘suite-hearts’ a true taste of luxury this Valentine’s Day.
