Wellness In The City is returning to Liverpool for the second year in a row after seeing hundreds of people, and more than 25 businesses, attend in 2023.

Held in February last year, the first Wellness In The City was held at The Spine in Liverpool’s Paddington Village. Across the day more than 300 people attended and it included a packed lunchtime panel discussion.

This year the event will take place at the Hilton Hotel Liverpool in Liverpool ONE on Friday, April 19. Founder Clare Ellis, alongside business and life partner George Egginton, says this year’s event will be “bigger and better”.

Clare adds the event is also an opportunity for the ever-increasing number of companies and organisations either looking to showcase their investment in wellbeing or for those looking to introduce wellness programmes but are looking for advice.

“So much has happened in the wellness arena in the past 12 months with a huge surge nationally amongst brands now viewing workplace wellness as a priority,” she said.

“Liverpool is behind the curve on this so we’re looking to help more firms and organisations understand the value of incorporating wellbeing programmes as standard in their business strategy.”

This year’s Wellness In The City is aiming to educate and raise awareness of all the options available to the general public in the Merseyside wellness arena.

Clare added: “This will also appeal to the public so they can be better informed about accessible options for creating and maintaining increased wellbeing in future.”

Since the initial event in 2023  Wellness In The City has been hosting other showcases across Liverpool. This has included a new pilot wellbeing networking event with the Ubiquity Collective called Ritual.

This has been focused to date on Digital Health and Emotional Wellbeing at Work with more planned throughout 2024.

Clare explained: “It’s been important for us to maintain momentum of our brand since 2023’s launch and we’ve done this by working with providers across the industry and those with a high intent to invest in wellness, enabling us to further develop this year’s show.
