Wirral entrepreneur Trevor Beck has launched a new retail Vodafone franchise outlet in Birkenhead town centre, creating a number of new jobs.

Trevor Beck is opening the shop at Grange Precinct offering Vodafone’s usual range of mobile phones, accessories, home broadband and data connections. His venture is being backed by Barclays.

Mr Beck, director of Eden Rainsford Retail Partnership, said; “It’s been my long held dream to run my own business, so launching the Vodafone retail shop is just fantastic. I already have my sights set on a second outlet in Ellesmere Port and I hope to launch the second site this year as soon as June if everything completes in time.”

Including the proposed second site at Ellesmere Port Eden will be recruiting more than 10 staff to run the outlets.

Liahll Bruce, Barclays national franchise manager, added: “It’s great that Barclays are able to support start-up businesses with funding and Ana Rowlands (Barclays relationship manager) has been supporting Trevor with help and advice around the franchise opportunities through Barclays partnership with Vodafone.”
