Wirral firm offers free payroll service to 50 SMEs during COVID crisis

Business payroll specialist Income Group is offering free payroll payment processing to 50 North West SME for three months during the COVID-19 crisis.
The Wirral-based firm, which is a Mastercard partner company, offers an alternative to the traditional BACs system of paying employees, which usually takes three days. Income Group says its system lets firms pay their staff instantaneously.
Using its Faster Payments system, Income Group says it will give 50 North West SMEs free payroll payment processing for three months as a way of helping them through the current crisis. It insists there are “no tie-ins” and “no catches”.
The firm said: “We can help businesses if they are looking for options to either extend the time they have to hold on to cash, to gain more time to make cash available to pay your colleagues of colleagues need to be paid at the end of a shift or a day rather than at the end of a month.”
