Evoke will install the digital ticket machines for Vue at the Leicester Square outlet

Merseyside specialist manufacturer Evoke Creative has secured a deal with cinema chain Vue to install digital ticketing machines at its flagship London outlet.

Following a successful trial at the Cribbs Causeway site in Bristol, Evoke is now set to install its kiosks at Vue’s Leicester Square cinema, as part of a £6.6m investment in the West End site.

Vue has commissioned the kiosks as part of an ongoing commitment to enhance the overall customer experience it provides.

The trial of the new technology at the 12-screen site to the north of Bristol city centre was part of a wider foyer refurbishment which saw Vue working with both Pizza Hut and Square Pie to introduce brand-new hot food offerings to customers.

The visually-striking ticketing kiosks feature 32” touchscreens set in either free-standing or wall mounted units.

They allow customers to purchase or collect pre-booked tickets quickly, streamlining the customer journey and allowing them more time to browse the food and beverage offering.

Wirral-based Evoke – which was recently hailed as one of the North’s fastest growing tech-companies – adds Vue to a burgeoning blue-chip client roster that also includes JD Sports Fashion, Google, McDonald’s and Tesco.

Evoke Creative co-founder and chief commercial officer Neil Clark, said: “It goes without saying that digital technology in a retail and leisure setting has to be intuitive and genuinely useful to consumers who are increasingly tech-savvy.

“But it also has to blend seamlessly with, and enhance, the overall store design. For generations of digitally aware cinemagoers, raised on smartphones and tablets, clunky metal boxes simply don’t cut it.

“We were commissioned to design and manufacture a bespoke kiosk that aptly utilises reflective surfaces and lighting to create a modern, top-end aesthetic.”
