Summer is still in its relative infancy and schools have only just finished for the six weeks holiday. However, fans of Christmas are already enthusiastically pointing out that the big day is only a “mere” 148 days away.

Leasowe Castle is beginning the festive countdown and getting into the holiday spirit with the announcement of this year’s Christmas programme.

The 16th century venue, nestled in the heart of Wirral Peninsula, will be transformed into a ‘magical marvel’ to provide festive fun for all ages.

Taking place throughout December, the Christmas calendar is offering a series of seasonal specials, including a festive lunch, a Boxing Day buffet, party nights and The Untold Story of Mrs Claus.

Operations Manager at Leasowe Castle Joseph Williamson said: “Christmas is such a magical time of the year, and what better way to embrace the yuletide season than by being whisked away to a castle filled with wonder and nostalgia?

“From festive lunch celebrations and party nights with work colleagues, to seasonally adapted Afternoon Tea and a Christmas Day feast amongst family and friends, not forgetting unmissable live music and children’s events, we want to give the gift of contentment this Christmas.”

The festivities will take place across the castle’s in-house amenities including Brasserie 1593, Knights Cocktail Bar and The Turret and Castle Suites.

Those staying over will be doing so in recently refurbished rooms that take in Wirral’s coastal views.

Joseph added: “Not only does our venue look the part when it dons its festive attire, our chefs cook up a storm in the kitchen to devise hearty winter warmer dishes that comprise novel renditions of nostalgic flavours to offer a true taste of Christmas in a castle.”
