Wirral Business Awards returned for the first time since before the pandemic with eight awards given out at the ceremony at Woodside Food & Market

More than 250 people attended the Wirral Business Awards held for the first time since before the pandemic.

Held at Wirral’s waterfront Woodside Food & Market, the ceremony saw eight awards given out at a ceremony presided over by former Liverpool FC star John Barnes. It coincided with the 110th anniversary of organiser Wirral Chamber of Commerce.

Headline sponsor was Unilever, reception sponsor was Peel L&P an media sponsor Hi-Impact Media. Category sponsors were Finsa UK, Magenta Living, Stiebel Eltron UK, Sure Solutions and The Lauries.

Wirral Chamber chief executive Paula Basnett said: “It was a delight to once again welcome so many businesses to the Wirral Business Awards. We pay tribute to them on a night when the businesses can come together and celebrate with each other their successes and achievements.

  • Tourism Business of the Year: Caffe Cream
  • Employer of the Year: Sure Solutions
  • Social Business/Charity of the Year: Neo Community
  • Business of the Year (1-25 employees): Bathgate Business Finance
  • Business Person of the Year: Karina Molby (Molby the Label) and Joanne Finnerty (JF Recruitment)
