Knowsley glass units manufacturer Custom Glass says it “anticipates further growth” after reporting a rise in sales and pre-tax profits amid “challenging conditions”.

Based in Knowsley, Custom Glass is one of the leading glazed unit manufacturers in the UK. It produces specialised flat glass, toughened safety glass, and custom insulated units for commercial, architectural, and transport applications.

Founded in 1982, the business occupies a 75,000 sq ft manufacturing facility, making more than 12,000 insulated glass units a week.

In March 2025 previous majority shareholders Paul Finnegan and Jeffrey Hoosen agreed to sell their shares to the Custom Glass Employee Ownership Trust.

Custom Glass has posted its annual accounts for the 12 months to August 31, 2025, on Companies House. They show a 5% rise in sales to £15.5m with pre-tax profits up 7% to £3.85m. It employed 135 people during the year.
