The Richmond Hotel in Liverpool is gearing up to welcome the organising team of the World Corporate Games.

The Hatton Garden venue, which is Grade II Listed, is the Official Headquarters Hotel for the sports event which attracts corporate competitors from across the globe.

Independently run, The Richmond celebrated its first year in business in May, and is delighted to be playing a part in the international sporting event. It is also currently a host hotel for delegates visiting Liverpool as part of the International Festival for Business (IFB).

The World Corporate Games takes place in Liverpool from 26 to 29 June, with competitors travelling from as far afield as Israel, Cape Town and Istanbul.

Group Director Steven Hesketh, who is also Treasurer of Liverpool Hoteliers Association (LHA), commented:

“We are looking forward to welcoming the team from the World Corporate Games. We’ve worked closely with the Games team leading up to the event itself, and now The Richmond team are excited at the prospect of being the team hub.

The Richmond team is also getting into the spirit of the games by taking part in the event’s World Corporate Cup of Soccer tournament, the preliminary rounds of which recently took place at Liverpool Football Club’s Anfield Stadium, as well as dragonboat racing.

The Richmond opened in May 2013 and features 152-bedrooms; R Bar & Brasserie; William & Kane function suite; and Florentyna’s private dining event space.
