Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa’s three AA rosette restaurant The Lawns, has appointed James Campbell to lead the team.
James Campbell, 25, was the former restaurant manager at the North West’s only Michelin starred restaurant Fraiche and The Liverpool Art School and brings with him ten years’ front of house experience.
James’ appointment follows that of Matt Worswick as executive chef, brought in to raise the creativity and quality of the food at the end of 2014.
Geoff Dale, general manager of Thornton Hall Hotel & Spa said:
“We’re really investing in The Lawns, with Matt’s appointment, a new kitchen extension and now James, we have all the expertise, resource and passion we need to push the restaurant forward.
“James has an exceptional palate particularly for wine pairings and cheese and has already made quite an impact on the guest experience with his knowledge, attention to detail and enthusiasm. It’s an absolute pleasure to have him here.”
Since starting in the role James has already extended The Lawns’ renowned cheese board from 15 to 40 cheeses, to wide acclaim.
James Campbell said:
‘I’m passionate about fine-dining and am delighted to be working with an established team that shares my love. The Lawns is really keen for more accolades and it’s an exciting time to join.”
