Haines Watts Liverpool makes generous Christmas Donation to the Whitechapel Centre
Haines Watts Liverpool is spreading Christmas cheer by donating a selection of festive hampers to The Whitechapel Centre.
The gifts were collectively created by staff at the Victoria Street office, in a bid to help rough sleepers, people living in temporary accommodation and those at risk of becoming homeless.
Associate Director of Haines Watts Liverpool Vikki Wynne said:
“With Christmas just around the corner, it felt only right to give something back to the community and to a charity that does so much good across the city.
“In order to support The Whitechapel Centre in providing essential living supplies to those in need, we decided to create all-inclusive hampers that contain necessities such as toiletries, warm clothing and non-perishable foods.”
Last year The Whitechapel Centre helped more than 2,600 people across the region. The leading charitable initiative provides crisis intervention, washing facilities and primary health care and is open 365 days a year.
Vikki added:
“Throughout the year, our office has engaged in a number of charitable activities in a bid to give something back to the community. In October, Director Russell Silverman participated in the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk and the office also raised nearly £4,000 for The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association to sponsor and name our very own Guide Dog, Watts.
“It’s been great to see the response from all of our staff who have so generously contributed to our Christmas hampers in recent weeks. Local charities such as The Whitechapel Centre rely on donations, and we certainly hope that our hampers will go on to help those most vulnerable in our community and put a smile on their faces this Christmas.”
