Outsourced marketing business, Verb, based in Liverpool have expanded their services to offer tailored events to help SME’s in the city accelerate their growth. Jennie Lewis reports.

The specially curated events programme, which launched successfully earlier this month, will offer hints, tips and advice on how your website can work harder for you as well as giving guidance on new data laws.

On March 22, Verb will host an event that aims to explore how you can create more revenue through smart changes to your website and will be delivered by managing director Dean Currall.

Dean says: “With more and more customers perusing and purchasing online than ever before, it is vital for small businesses to have an online presence to showcase their products and services.

Then in April, Dean and his team of experts will host a session advising businesses of the impact of GDPR.

On 25 May 2018,  new UK data law, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), comes into effect. The law requires everyone in your business database to have specifically opted in to receive direct or marketing communications. So, if you can’t prove your contacts have opted in, you can’t contact them.

And it is serious business. You could be fined 4% of your annual turnover if you don’t fully comply.
