The exhibition, which opens to the public this Friday (9th February), a week before the Chinese New Year. Terracotta Warriors is expected to draw record numbers of visitors to Liverpool’s World Museum with tickets, which went on sale in November, believed to be selling well.

The dishes available at Chy’s Renshaw Street and Waterloo restaurants have been developed by the classically trained, Boa Rong Lin, head chef at Chy Waterloo restaurant, who says: “My team and I have been working tirelessly for several months developing new dishes fit for a Chinese Emperor!

“We’ve taken inspiration from our home provinces and created twists on well-known Chinese dishes. We’re all really excited to welcome the Terracotta Warriors to Liverpool.” Boa Rong Lin, Head Chef at Chy Waterloo.

As well as the opening of the Terracotta Warriors exhibition on Friday, the team at Chy are busy preparing for this year’s Chinese New Year celebrations (Year of the Dog) on Friday 16th February.

We’re receiving booking enquiries from people from all over the country who are coming to Liverpool especially to visit the exhibition and join in with the New Year celebrations. I’m just hoping to have time to go and visit it myself.”
