Liverpool law firm MSB Solicitors partners with CrowdJustice to raise funds for people who cannot afford to pay for legal representation

Liverpool law firm MSB Solicitors is partnering with a crowdfunding platform to help people with limited funds get access to to justice.

CrowdJustice allows individuals to raise funds for legal representation when they are not eligible for legal aid and cannot afford to pay their own legal fees. All funding campaigns posted on CrowdJustice are verified and must have a lawyer instructed

Having recently secured its first case through CrowdJustice, MSB is encouraging support from the public to raise funds for an individual who was taken advantage of by a serial fraudster, resulting in her losing £10,000.

Now joined in the private prosecution by other victims, who altogether have lost £60,000, she is asking for help to bring the perpetrator to justice with Jeremy Asher, head of private prosecutions at MSB, as her legal representative.

Maeve Storey, CrowdJustice campaigns manager, added: CrowdJustice is committed to making the law accessible to everyone. More than 1,000 people have raised funds via CrowdJustice – 10 cases funded on the platform have gone to the Supreme Court.
