Wild Thang embroiders Liverpool FC shirts for CL final
Embroidery that will appear on the Liverpool FC first team kit in the Champions League final in Paris has been delivered by Merseyside firm Wild Thang. Tony McDonough reports
Millions of viewers tuning in for the Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid on Saturday will be able to see the handiwork of a Merseyside business.
Bootle-based brand marketing specialist Wild Thang was tasked by Liverpool FC to embroider the shirts that will be worn by the first team in Paris. The match is predicted to have a live worldwide audience of 400m people.
Founder and managing director of Wild Thang, Andrew DwerryHouse, told LBN: “We are absolutely buzzing as it’s another exciting moment for Wild Thang, as we were chosen as a local Liverpool company to brand the first teams kits of Liverpool FC for their upcoming Champions League Final against Real Madrid in Paris.

“As a team, we are always very proud when seeing our branding in action especially when it will be on such an important occasion as the Champions League Final. With a worldwide audience of more than 400 million I am sure you can understand our complete and utter excitement.”
LFC TV paid a visit to Wild Thang close to the River Mersey where they captured the firm’s embroidery expert and supervisor Darren Farrell working his magic with great attention to detail to the shirts. This was not the first time Darren has featured on LFC TV.

He added: “The promotional videos that were produced by LFC TV have already gone viral on the LFC socials for the lead up to the match. They received over 85,000 views in the first hour, which is just incredible and a very proud moment for all of us to be able to be a part of that.
“We are truly thankful to LFC for trusting Wild Thang to produce some world class branding for such a special occasion. We all agree that ‘Made in Liverpool, for Liverpool’ truly has a nice ring to it, wishing the fans safe travels & the club all the best of luck for the big day.”
