Transportation and warehousing specialist Abbey Logistics has added 50,000 sq ft of extra space to its Wirral base. Tony McDonough reports

Abbey Logistics has added 50,000 extra sq ft of warehousing space to its base in Bromborough, taking the total to 200,000 sq ft.

Operating from storage and distribution bases in Liverpool and Wirral, Abbey’s reach extends across the UK. It is one of the UK’s leading transport providers of bulk liquids and powders.

The business also specialises in warehousing facilities and advanced stock control and advance stock control. Extra space created in Bromborough, close to the River Mersey, offers businesses an outlet to store goods both on a short or long-term basis.

Mike Ellis, business development director at Abbey, said “Efficient warehousing services are a core solution to our logistics network.

“With multiple storage options, bag to bulk and bulk to bag loading, and picking services solutions, Abbey can accommodate numerous warehousing needs.

“The additional warehouse space gives us the flexibility of larger and smaller segregated chambers. It gives customers the flexibility to store in shared units or dedicated with some operating at food grade standards.”

Abbey’s fleet of tankers operates across the UK and Europe. It services multiple sectors including lastics, construction, minerals, animal feed and non-hazardous chemicals.
