More than 3,000 senior executives from the UK’s retail property sector will descend on Liverpool for their annual conference later this year.

Revo, formerly known as the British Council of Shopping Centres, will hold its three days annual conference and expo at ACC Liverpool in September.

It will be the third time the event has come to the waterfront venue. It was first held here in 2008 and in its return in 2012 one of the keynote speakers was Mary Portas, TV’s ‘Queen of Shops’.

The event, in its 32nd year, will include an exhibition and provide a host of networking and deal-making opportunities as well as a seminar programme which will include key sessions covering the hot topics affecting the retail property and placemaking sector.

High profile speakers will headline the seminar programme.

Kerrin MacPhie, director of conference and exhibition sales at ACC Liverpool, said: “This event is seen as a key date on the retail calendar and we are pleased that Revo has chosen to hold its event with us again, particularly during such an important year when the organisation has undergone a complete rebrand and repositioning.

“It is therefore fitting that it will be held in our exhibition centre which will showcase the creative aspects of this unique conference and exhibition.”

Beth Wilson, Revo’s head of events, added: “We are entering a new and exciting era for our event and have changed the format considerably, also supported by our lowest-ever entry costs.

“A new and vibrant venue such as Exhibition Centre Liverpool therefore fits the bill perfectly for us and enables us to host our conference and exhibition under one roof.”

ACC Liverpool now includes three major venues – Exhibition Centre Liverpool, the ECHO Arena and the BT Convention Centre. It also has its own hotel – the Pullman Liverpool.

It is also the principle venue and official partner of the British Style Collective presented by Clothes Show which is set to take over swathes of the city centre in July.
