Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) is holding a recruitment day this month to fill almost 200 job vacancies.

With the arrival of Jet2 in the spring offering more than 20 new routes, this will be the busiest summer at the airport in five years with an extra 500,000 passengers. It starts in just three months time and there are multiple vacancies to be filled in the meantime.

The recruitment day is being held on Thursday, January 11. It has now become an annual event which the airport organises on behalf of various employers who are all looking to recruit in 2024, with hundreds of job seekers once again expected to attend.

Taking place in the terminal building from 10am to 4pm, the event will feature a host of employers who are based at the airport all looking to fill 192 mainly full-time vacancies.

They include airline Jet2.com, aviation security company Wilson James, catering company SSP, passenger assistance company ABM and retailers such as Boots and duty free shop operator Dufry. No appointments are required in advance.

A diverse range of job opportunities are currently available at the airport including aircraft dispatch, airline sales desk, aviation security officers, passenger assistance for people with disabilities, catering and related front of house roles, bar work and retail work.

Carol Dutton, Liverpool Airport’s HR and community director, said: “With a busy summer season ahead it’s important to once again make sure that the many vacancies on offer here at the airport are filled in time for the summer.
