Partners at Liverpool law firm Brabners have pocketed bumper payments after annual profits hit £20.7m.
In late January LBN reported the practice, which also has offices in Manchester, Preston and Leeds, had announced 11.7% rise in revenues to £60.2m for the 12 months to April 30, 2025.
Pre-tax profits were also up to £20.3m from £18.1m in the previous year. Now Brabners has posted its full accounts on Companies House and revealed how those profits will be shared among its 91 partners.
Average payout per partner is £223,000, up from £214,000 in the previous year. The highest-paid partner will receive £513,000, up from £488,000 in the previous year.
Buoyed by this latest set of results Brabners, which employs almost 600 people and is based at Exchange Flags, is to embark on a fresh expansion by opening a new office in London in mid-2026. It says the move “represents a natural progression” for the firm.
Two senior partners are being appointed to run the base in the capital. Corporate partner Stuart Hatcher joins from Forsters, bringing experience in advising privately-owned businesses alongside expertise in sport, including his role as a director of Brentford FC.
Litigation partner Russell Strong joins from Gunner Cooke, specialising in high-value commercial litigation and international arbitration.

“Launching in London is a landmark moment for Brabners. It allows us to build our presence in the capital while staying true to our values, strengthening our offering to clients and playing our part as an engaged and responsible member of the London business community.”
