Ex-Everton and Manchester City Women’s star Toni Duggan marked British supermarket chain Morrisons ongoing support for The Women’s Football Awards with a visit to its flagship Kirkby store.

This visit highlighted the supermarket’s commitment to supporting both women and young people in the workplace to achieve their goals.

Toni met with Morrisons colleagues and girls from a local primary school football team to learn more about the company’s initiatives aimed at empowering its female workforce, as well as its pride in supporting the Women’s Football Awards –  Europe’s biggest celebration of the women’s game.

Her visit underlines the shared mission between the awards and Morrisons to champion opportunity, visibility and recognition for women at every level, from grassroots through to elite and across the wider business landscape.

Charlotte Exell, group online director at Morrisons and diversity, equity and inclusion chair, said: “Morrisons is once again proud to support the Women’s Football Awards.

“We share a passion with the organisation for empowering women and young people to achieve their ambitions, both in the workplace and beyond. To launch this year’s awards, we were thrilled to host Toni Duggan at our Kirkby store.”
