One of Liverpool’s favourite independent record shops provided the stage for GPO’s newest campaign, promoting it’s new vinyl collection. Dig Vinyl, an underground record shop on Bold Street in the city, hosted the campaign photoshoot for Vinyl on the Go, GPO’s autumn campaign promoting a range of vinyl accessories and turntables built to let you take, and listen to, vinyl records on the move.
Telling the story of two young vinyl lovers who bond over a shared enthusiasm for LPs in the record store, the campaign pictures were shot by Liverpool’s Vessel Studios.
GPOs Vinyl on the Go shows off the brand’s new record bag, the Ambassador, a Bluetooth turntable with rechargeable battery, vinyl cases, Bluetooth and rechargeable speakers. The campaign targets those inspired by the vinyl revival and also runs alongside a Fresher’s campaign.
Dig Vinyl was perfect for the shoot, says GPO’s Gary Basso:
“It was an ideal location. People from our team knew the store as they spent happy weekends browsing through their collection. It’s a perfect fit for Vinyl on the Go – Liverpool’s a city that loves its music.”
Elliott from Dig Vinyl adds:
“We were delighted to be able to help. GPO is a fantastic music brand and it’s great to see them turning to an independent store for a campaign shoot. Our customers were definitely intrigued to discover what was going on.”
GPO is one of the UK’s biggest vinyl brands, with a range of record players and vinyl accessories available in some of the high street’s biggest names, including HMV and Zavvi as well as independents and online. It makes two of the most popular UK turntables, the Memphis and the Attache.
