Liverpool’s Dutch Flower Shop is gearing up for a Derby Day with a difference as it plants the seed while Liverpool and Everton fans prepare for their pilgrimage to Anfield on December 2.
Ahead of the match between Everton and Liverpool, the Wavertree based florist has devised a duo of aptly coloured bouquets designed with the other halves of football fans across the region in mind.
Director and lifelong Everton fan Daniel Whittle said: “As a devoted football fan, I’ve followed Everton for as long as I can remember and as any fellow ‘blue nose’ or ‘kopite’ alike will know, the Merseyside Derby is one of the biggest matches of the season.
“As my wife – and many other husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends across Merseyside would agree – the football season takes up a lot of our time so we wanted to create something fun to share with our partners.
“With this in mind, our talented team have come up with a selection of themed red and blue bouquets that are sure to put a smile on the face of anyone who’s exasperated with the footy, and to make sure you’re not in the ‘relegation zone’ when you get back home from your day at the Derby.
“What’s more, to further enhance the ‘feel-good factor’ we’ll be donating a percentage of each bouquet sale to the clubs’ respective chosen charities – Everton in the Community and LFC Foundation.”
The Liverpool FC Derby Day Bouquet is crafted using Red Roses, Hypericum, White Bouvardia and Seasonal Foliage while the Everton Football Club Derby Day Bouquet is made with Blue Roses, Thistle, White Bouvardia and seasonal foliage.
As part of its wider corporate floristry arm, Dutch Flower Shop is also a preferred supplier for Liverpool FC and supplier for Everton FC.
