Tickets are still available for an exclusive event with authors Julia Keys and Jacqui Coles taking place at The Women’s Organisation in Liverpool this week.

Having dealt with infidelity in their personal relationships and subsequent scrutinisation from the British press, Julia and Jacqui are returning to their Merseyside roots for ‘Being an Empowered Woman’, at 54 St James Street on Thursday, August 23, from 2-4pm.

Julia (ex-wife of TV presenter Richard Keys, centre of the Sky Sports sexism scandal, has lived most of her married life in the public eye, dealing with many personal crises in the gaze of the newspapers and the media.

Organisers say this insightful conversation will help women to feel more empowered in all aspects of life, including personal relationships and business.

Their book, The MANScript, is the ultimate guide to surviving and thriving after infidelity, helping those who have been cheated on to feel empowered rather than weakened by their experiences.

Julia said: “I know all too well how hard it can be to present yourself to the world, while struggling immensely internally. I also know how frightening and lonely it can feel when you have been betrayed.”

Having met as teens and trained together as nurses at Clatterbridge and ArrowePark, fate brought Julia and Jacqui together again at a pivotal point and led to the creation of their new book.

Jacqui added: “We are so excited and proud to be going back to our roots in Liverpool to hold our first event since our bestselling book, the MANScript, was published earlier this summer. We would like to thank The Women’s Organisation for supporting us in our passion to empower women in all aspects of life.”

Tickets available via Eventbrite, or by contacting The Women’s Organisation on hello@thewo.org.uk or 0151 706 8111.
