Baltic Bakehouse expands with new branches and kitchens across Liverpool
Award-winning city centre artisanal bakery, Baltic Bakehouse, shows great potential for growth as they open a new shop in Allerton and take over the kitchen in city-centre bar The Fly in The Loaf.
After over a year of anticipation by owners and customers alike, Baltic Bakehouse have added new locations to their award-winning business, opening a suburban outlet and clinching an exclusive pub kitchen deal to expand their business range.
Family-run Baltic Bakehouse has been expanding from their base of operations in Bridgewater Street, now serving customers from both their coffee shop HQ, a bakery shop at 99 Allerton Road and the kitchens of the Fly in the Loaf Pub.
Suburban Outlet
Taking inspiration from the recent recession-busting trend of pop-up shops, Baltic Bakehouse is opening a bakery outlet on Allerton Road as a retail “experiment”. Taking baking back to basics, the shop sells many varieties of freshly baked bread, including several “Great Taste” starred award winners.
“We’ve been keeping an eye on a property on Allerton Road for a while, an empty sandwich shop that’s been unloved for a long time. However, after a year of Baltic Bakehouse we were looking for somewhere and this old shop sprung to mind.”
High-quality Pub Grub
Meanwhile, the kitchen takeover at the Fly in the Loaf offers simple food from an ideal location, providing sweet and savoury bar food to complement the pub’s own high quality craft beers.
“When they approached us looking for someone to bring a new approach to their food offering, we couldn’t say no.”
