Blueoak Estates is reporting an “unprecedented level of interest” in a new luxury apartment scheme in Chester.

Grade II-listed Christleton Hall was built in 1750 and was originally used as a private residence and later as a boarding school. From 1974 to 2021 it was one of the causes of the University of Law.

Now Blueoak, which creates upmarket developments in Wirral and Cheshire, is redeveloping the building to provide 14 apartments. Phase one has been released for sale with prices beginning at £315,000.

Following the recent open weekend, agents Savills said: “Since its release, we’ve received more interest in Christleton Hall than any other development launch.”

Set in extensive private grounds, there are two parking spaces for each apartment with an electric car charging point. Several of the homes have independent access whilst others benefit from private terraces and lift access.

Iain MacLean, managing director of Blueoak Estates, added: “Now is a pivotal point in the journey of the scheme as we release phase one for sale and invite possible owners to discover more about this wonderful building.

“The quality of restoration and carefully thought through design of each home pays homage to the Hall, its rich history and architecture.

“Christleton is an idyllic and picturesque village with homes in huge demand across all property types. We anticipate strong interest in this scheme and believe that there is no other scheme of its type and at this price point available within this area.

“From this first phase, we have already reserved two out of seven apartments with lots of ongoing interest. As with many of our schemes, we tend to sell the majority off plan, a trend we definitely expect to see continue here at Christleton Hall.”
