Lobby group and membership organisation Downtown in Business is inviting businesses to attend an event this week to discuss Liverpool’s retail sector.

Since Liverpool One opened a decade ago the city centre has become a destination for shoppers from across the North West and the main retail area has also been boosted since the launch of the Business Improvement District (BID) in 2005.

With the BID, which represents more than 600 businesses, up for a renewal vote Downtown has teamed up with the Liverpool BID Company to host the event called ‘Retail Therapy’ at the The Chancery in Paradise Street in the city centre on Wednesday, June 6.

Starting at 8.30am and finishing at 10am, organisers want to encourage a lively discussion about the current strengths of Liverpool’s marketing and retail offer and the challenges it faces.

There are no short of positives – recent findings reveal Liverpool is the most visited city in England, outside of London, and third best-rated destination in the UK for 2018 by Trip Advisor.

The event is a opportunity to have your say on what can businesses do to support, maintain and further the momentum of Liverpool’s retail economy.
