Cabfind.com continues successful recruitment ‘drive’
Eight months on from successfully gaining a grant from the Regional Growth Fund (RGF), Wirral based Cabfind.com has taken on 20 new members of staff, and is currently recruiting for a further ten positions.
The ground transportation B2B market leader, which manages the private hire transport needs of corporate and public sector clients including the NHS, Her Majesty’s Prison Service and Channel 4 News, has seen particularly growth in its IT department, expanding its team from five to 15, as it gears up to create a new high caliber software development centre at its headquarters in Birkenhead.
This new centre will enable Cabfind.com to become the leading provider or private hire vehicle booking platforms in the UK and overseas. It will also create a further 30 jobs over the next three years, three of which are being currently recruited for.
Having achieved considerable sales growth over the last six months, Cabfind.com has also recruited ten new members of staff into its operations team and is looking to appoint a further three new staff. Sales revenue for the first six months of this year compared with January to June 2013 was up by £1m representing a 12.5 per cent increase.
The business is also looking to recruit two members of staff in its client services team as a direct result of some of its largest clients, such as Virgin Trains, DB Schenker and First ScotRail, recently extending their contracts for a further five years. Cabfind.com also has a portfolio of more than 80 corporate clients, many of whom have been with the company since its inception in 2006 and continue to renew their service contracts with the Wirral business each year.
Chris Jordan, managing director of Cabfind.com, said:
“It is crucially important to us that we recruit the right people with the right skills to facilitate our ambitious growth plans. We are a SME headquartered in Birkenhead and, in the next five years, we want to turn our business into a global brand.
“We aim to grow from our current turnover of £15m to £50m, doubling our number of jobs from 65 last year to 125 by 2018. Finding and nurturing dynamic, ambitious employees is therefore key if we are to become the largest, independent privately owned provider of managed ground transportation services firstly in the UK and then beyond.“The local district and the wider Merseyside economy will also greatly benefit from our growth, particularly from the sustainable employment, up-skilling and training of new staff which will be required to deliver our software development centre and the research and development activities created by it.”
As well as recruiting new members of staff for its IT, operations and client services teams, Cabfind.com is also looking to appoint staff in its sales and marketing and accounts teams.
