Chamber IFB Global Conference and Gala Dinner sells out again

‘Meet Your Global Network’ the Chamber international trade conference and gala dinner has sold out and was once again one of the highlights of the International Festival for Business 2016.

Organised by Liverpool and Sefton Chamber of Commerce with support from colleagues British Chamber of Commerce and International Chamber of Commerce, it returned by popular demand after great success first time round in 2014.

On 16th June at the brand new Exhibition Centre in Liverpool, a capacity crowd of 250 delegates met with representatives from over 30 international markets for a plenary, panel discussions and to take part in over 300 pre-booked 1-2-1 meetings to facilitate global deals.

Andy Snell, Director International Trade at Liverpool Chamber said prior to the event:

“The concept was driven by demand from our members so we know it works, 120 of the delegates in 2014 went on to access support to visit international markets and leverage the strength of the global chamber network. This time round we’ll be joined by representatives from Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East, they will assist in developing the presence of UK businesses on the global stage”

The event was brought to IFB2016 with International Strategic Partners Turkish Airlines, Santander, Warrant Group and DLA Piper. It culminated with the exclusive and only black tie Gala dinner in the IFB programme, welcoming overseas representatives and celebrating a taste of the ‘best of British’ in comedy, music, food and sport. On a day where England beat Wales at Euro 2016 was appropriate that Mark Wright, captain during the famous Italia 90 campaign was amongst the speakers.

Jenny Stewart, CEO of Liverpool Chamber was delighted with the response:

“We are renowned for our gala dinners and have a loyal following, our IFB dinners attract many companies who come for a fun evening but in an environment where they can build lasting relationships with their overseas chamber representatives. Our delegates know from experience that by attending they put themselves in a better position to trade abroad and boost their bottom line.”
