MIPIM in Cannes is attended by delegations from cities and countries across the world as well as property developers and professionals and major investors every March. Tony McDonough reports.
Cheshire and Warrington are to send a delegation to the world’s biggest property and investment expo in Cannes for the first time next month.
Liverpool and Manchester have been attended the MIPIM event, held in Cannes every March, for more than two decades.
Now Cheshire and Warrington will join the thousand of other delegates for the investment and extravaganza on the French Riviera.
MIPIM is attended by delegations from cities and countries across the world as well as property developers and professionals and major investors.
Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), together with its local authority partners, Cheshire West and Chester, Cheshire East and Warrington councils, is leading the delegation of private sector partners to promote the area.
It will also promote major investment opportunities, such as:
- The Cheshire Science Corridor and the recently launched Enterprise Zone, an investment opportunity covering 100 hectares with the potential to attract up to 20,000 jobs and 500 businesses.
- The Northern Gateway Development Zone, an investment area capitalising on investment in HS2, spanning Cheshire and the North of Staffordshire including Stoke-on-Trent, Crewe and the A500 corridor.
- Chester’s £100 Central Business Quarter, a commercial regeneration scheme spanning 7.5 acres next to Chester Rail Station.
- Opportunities in Chester, Crewe, Warrington and other areas, along with other aspects of the region.
The delegation is being supported by 17 private sector organisations that are promoting their schemes and seeking international partnerships:
