Child Internet Safety unveils new look courtesy of North West’s The Loft
As part of major brand repositioning, Child Internet Safety has unveiled its fresh new look courtesy of top North West based brand and digital agency, The Loft.
To reflect the social enterprise’s ethos and mission surrounding child safety online, creative director Becki Wilson and her team were responsible for redeveloping the website – transforming it into a resourceful ‘go-to hub’ for parents seeking guidance on how to protect their children and teenagers from the dangers that exist online.
Child Internet Safety’s (CIS) third Annual Summit was held at the QEII Conference Centre in London, with sponsors and supporters including AVG and Microsoft. The event’s attendees included hundreds of government officials in education and teachers, who all gained a first-hand insight into the new designs.
Becki said:
“Having become experts in marketing for sectors including social enterprises, charities and local authorities, we were thrilled to be appointed by CIS as their new creative agency after demonstrating our knowledge of the specific field.
“The principle objectives were to reposition the brand and interface for the consumer, increase awareness to attract new parents to the site and ultimately help protect children from online dangers. With that in mind we have completely redesigned CIS’ branding, including their brand identity and visual language, and have also developed an intuitive, responsive website that will become a valuable resource ‘hub’ for parents who have internet safety queries and concerns.
“Together with the website’s new look, we have also been responsible for the creative and design of the Child Internet Safety magazine, launched earlier this year at Microsoft’s offices in London. As an e-zine that has synergy across both print and online platforms – the publication covers a range of relevant topics including cyber-bullying, teaching e-safety and easy to implement ‘How to’ guides for mums & dads.”
The Loft specialises in a delivering prolific and creative services including website design, brand design, creative campaigns, digital strategies and development projects. Working with a diverse portfolio, ranging from social enterprises and charities to impressive global brands, big name clients include NHS, Procter & Gamble and Scotts Miracle Gro.
Becki added:
“At The Loft we understand that the internet is such a wide resource for young people, and more often than not it provides to be an entertaining and educational space. However, if children have a negative experience online it can be extremely detrimental both emotionally and mentally, which is why we are so glad to be working with Child Internet Safety to safeguard our children, and empower parents.
“Our creative and digital work is set to maximise awareness by driving traffic to the site and producing engaging and interesting content to ensure that as many schools and parents as possible are aware of the importance of e-safety and have access to the right tools.”
Director of Engage Media Solutions, the social enterprise behind CIS, Aisha Tilstone added:
“Having gone above and beyond, the team at The Loft have captured the essence of the social initiative and mirrored it accordingly across both the new brand and the new digital platform.
“Not only does the website echo our core brand values and beliefs, it now provides a great hub for parents who are keen to understand and help safeguard potential digital dangers.
“We are delighted with the end result and hope that both the new website and e-zine will become key tools for parents wanting to learn about e-safety and join an ever expanding support community.”
