Countdown begins to Easter weekend food and drink festival

The Liverpool Food, Drink and Lifestyle Spring Festival is set to take place in Sefton Park over the Bank Holiday Weekend (April 15 & 16).

Showcasing some of the region’s independent lifestyle producers, the Liverpool Food, Drink and Lifestyle Spring Festival offers everything from food, drink and entertainment to crafts and pieces for the home and garden.

The event features five zones:

The Wood Lands: Will give visitors the chance to try their hand at everything from bushcraft and den making to lantern making and mono printing. The Wood Lands also features a gin market and a craft and lifestyle tent, as well as a sushi rolling workshop.

The Pasture: includes independent street food stalls, from mac ’n’ cheese, gourmet hot dogs and sushi to waffles, crepes and churros. Salt Dogs will be hosting live musicians and DJs.

The Lawns: Visitors will find the producers’ market, which is filled with artisan meats, regional fruit and veg, wine, cheese and ingredients for home cooking. The Lawns will also be showcasing the latest innovations in culinary arts.

The Meadow: Some of Liverpool’s top food and drink companies, including Treaty Pie, Little Furnace and Liverpool Rum, Gin and Vodka, will form part of The Meadow.

The Kids’ Village: Activities to keep young visitors entertained. Includes a traditional funfair with its own Victorian themed helter skelter, and carousel. There is also a pop-up farm, archery, birds of prey, crafts, face painting and walking pet balloons, a zip wire and donkey rides.

A spokesperson from SK Events, the company behind the festival, said: “We are thrilled to be bringing Liverpool Food, Drink and Lifestyle Spring Festival back to Sefton Park for the third consecutive year.

“This year’s lifestyle event will have more of a springtime feel than ever as we shift towards the opposite end of Sefton Park, just beside the Marie Curie daffodil ‘Field of Hope’. There really is something for everyone and with so many fun activities packed into one big space, it’s sure to be a fantastic way to spend your Easter weekend.”

Liverpool Food, Drink and Lifestyle Spring Festival is organised by SK Events, the team behind the annual Liverpool Food and Drink Festival, which is set to celebrate its tenth anniversary this September.

The spring event is focussed around lifestyle, family fun, outdoor activities, workshops and artisan crafts, as well as food and drink, while the September event has been designed as a showcase of the city’s best restaurants, bars, chefs and producers.
