Creative agency hires new head of content

Young Bright and Grey was acquired by Liverpool PR and marketing business the Influential Agency Group in October 2021 and has now hired Kelly Cunningham as its new head of content

Creative agency Young Bright and Grey has hired Kelly Cunningham as its head of content.

Based in Manchester, Young Bright and Grey was acquired by Liverpool PR and marketing business the Influential Agency Group in October 2021, taking total headcount of the combined business to 27.

Having previously worked with directors Viv Griffiths and James Summerscales, the three have joined forces again – this time with the wider support of Influential. Kelly brings eight years of experience to the team. She has worked with blue-chip clients including Microsoft, American Express and Merlin Entertainment.

Making the move from senior content manager at THG Ingenuity, she led and launched Homebase’s content strategy, including its first e-commerce Black Friday sale in 2021. She has also worked with with Lyle & Scott, and Pentland Brands including Speedo, Berghaus and Kickers.

At Young Bright and Grey, Kelly will lead on strategy planning and content, working across digital, creative and PR. She has already hit the ground running, playing a key role in creating content for AssurAcc, amongst a number of other projects.

“It is great to reunite with Viv and James again, and become part of an expanding, energetic team with people genuinely at the heart of it,” said Kelly. “I have been lucky enough to work within some really progressive and vibrant workplaces and look forward to adding to the culture here.”

Since the buyout by Influential, Young Bright and Grey has experienced a flurry of recent project wins including engineering construction experts CPG Europe and hazardous materials specialist Lucion Services.

Director James Summerscales added: “Kelly joins the team as we enter a really exciting chapter, with a stream of recent client wins, which all show real ambition. We continue to recruit for our creative and branding team, looking for driven individuals who want to work on exciting, attractive projects.”
