Between 4:30pm and 7:30pm on Wednesday, December 7, the award-winning food hall located on Brunswick Quay will offer samples of festive goodies, great wines and beers, world-class spirits and local artisan produce.

By bringing together a selection of the foodie establishment’s finest suppliers, the evening will allow guests to taste and peruse various delicacies and drinks, whilst seeking advice from on-hand culinary experts.

Proprietor of Delifonseca Candice Fonseca said: “With December 25 just around the corner, our annual Christmas Tasting Event brings together a diverse bunch of suppliers, each offering tempting samples of their wares. We want to allow guests to quaff their way around the shop, making the all-important decisions on what staples and treats will grace the Christmas table this year.

“As the ideal chance to try before you buy or even sample something totally new, we hope that the Tasting Evening will get our shoppers well into the holiday spirit. Aside from being able to take advantage of our Christmas food pre-order service, visitors can peruse goodies and hampers that are perfect for presents and personal festive indulgence.”

The evening will see several suppliers offering samples of meats, cheeses, confectionary and chocolate, alongside drinks samples and products available from brands including Fonseca Port, Henriques & Henriques Madeira, Patchwork Pates, Sloe Motion Liqueurs and Chase Distillery, together with local producers such as Mad Hatter Brewery and Chilli Gourmet from Heswall.

Candice added: “For those seeking expert advice for their Christmas feast, the fantastic team from our in-house butchery concession Edge & Son, alongside our longstanding Head Chef Martin Cooper will also be on hand to answer any queries. They will offer advice on anything from menu planning to cooking instructions and wine pairing.”

The Christmas Tasting Evening will take place at Delifonseca Dockside on Wednesday, December 7 between 4:30pm and 7:30pm. Admission is free. A special 10% discount is available on the night.
