Liverpool shopping mall Metquarter has secured a new letting with a designer childrenswear retailer.
Nuvola will open a 3,000 sq ft outlet in Metquarter this month. It is described as a “one-stop premium clothing and accessories store” specifically designed for kids. This will be its second Merseyside store following the opening of its branch in Kirkby.
This brand is the brainchild of two employees of former Metquarter tenant Kids Cavern. Established in 1989, Kids Cavern was one of the UK’s largest independent retailers for kids clothing and accessories.
A range of premium brands will be sold at Nuvola including DSQUARED2, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Stella McCartney, Missoni, plus many more.
Ellie Evans and Alex Toner, founders of Nuvola, said: “We’re extremely excited to be launching in Metquarter and to be given this fantastic opportunity to expand our business.
“Kids Cavern had huge success in the centre previously and the other retailers in the centre complement our store perfectly. We cannot wait to welcome our loyal customers to the new store when we open our doors later this month.”
Jason Sargent, leasing and asset manager at Metquarter owner Queensberry, added: “It’s a testament to Metquarter’s appeal that people who have previously traded a business in the centre are eager to return.
“We’re delighted to welcome Nuvola and proud to see children’s fashion represented again within our tenant mix.”

Nuvola joins a mix of brands already located at the centre including Cricket, Carvela and Say It With as well as Everyman Cinema and LMA.
Jennina O’Neill, Metquarter centre manager, also said: “Nuvola is an established brand with a loyal customer base and local roots.
“We know that our customers – who return to Metquarter for our mix of boutique fashion, high end brands, creative arts, eclectic food hall and premium experiences – will be delighted with the announcement.”
