Warrington-based Emerald Bay Construction has been recognised in the Warrington Building Excellence Awards for their high standards of construction and workmanship, winning the ‘best change of use to existing building’ category.

Kings Court is a development which transformed unused town centre office space into 32 luxury apartments including two penthouses.

The art-filled building is flooded with light from floor to ceiling windows, kitchens and bathrooms and the homes are proving extremely popular with professionals from across the world including South Africa and Greece who benefit from the perfect commuting location.

Dan Lucker, project Manager at Emerald Bay, said: “We’re keeping our fingers crossed that we’ll win the National Award too, which takes place in London this November.”

James Peacock Properties, which is behind the investment and manages the building says 84% of the apartments have already been let since the phased opening in January

Adam Jude, operations director at James Peacock, said: “The rate of letting shows that there is a demand for high quality residential lets in the town centre. This is encouraging as we are now planning the next development phase on an adjacent site.”

Warrington Council chief executive, Professor Steven Broomhead, added: “We were really impressed with the quality of works at Kings Court and are delighted that Emerald Bay have been recognised for their excellent conversion.”
