Structural steelwork specialist Walker Engineering has made a flying start to 2023, securing 10 new projects across the UK worth in excess of £725,000.

Walker delivers mechanical and fabrication, mechanical and electrical installation and maintenance from its Skelmersdale headquarters. Its latest contract wins are as close as Birkenhead and as far afield as Glasgow and Lowestoft on the South East coast.

They include Timothy Taylor’s Brewery upgrade in Keighley, West Yorkshire (£110,000),  and cladding work on a 360 sq metre silo structural steel building in Preston (£200,000).

With more than £1.5m worth of work also quoted for in January, Walker Engineering is already well on course to better its record turnover of £3.9m from the previous year.

LBN reported Walker’s annual revenues in October 2022 and also revealed pre-tax profits had soared 81% to just over £403,000.
