Final cities revealed for Liverpool International Waterfront Forum

The final partner cities for the Liverpool International Waterfront Forum event 2015 have been announced.

It is now known that speakers from Barcelona, Cape Town and Wuhan will appear at the symposium, which takes place in the Cunard Building on Liverpool’s waterfront on 3 and 4 June 2015.

They will join representatives from Belfast, Bristol, Glasgow, Liverpool, Newport and Sydney.

Max Steinberg, chief executive of Liverpool Vision and chairman of Liverpool International Waterfront Forum, said:

“For this forum to live up to its name, it needs to be truly international – that’s why it’s so encouraging that we are able to bring cities like Barcelona, Cape Town and Wuhan to the table to share our experience for the collective good.”

Sue Grindrod, chairman of Liverpool Waterfront Business Partnership, added:

“I am extremely excited about how we can begin to harness global best practice in regeneration and waterfront development, and bring valuable lessons from our partner cities attending and speaking at Liverpool International Waterfront Forum.

“I look forward to welcoming such distinguished speakers to this private sector-led initiative, which is only possible with the support of our partners Arup and Liverpool Waterfront Business Partnership, and sponsors Gower Street Estate, Mott MacDonald, Peel, Winckworth Sherwood, Planit IE and in partnership with Liverpool Vision.”
