Liverpool building firm Frank Rogers says its first fundraising golf event saw 18 teams from a variety of businesses enjoy an ‘incredible day’ and raise £20,000 for charity

Liverpool construction and fire safety firm Frank Rogers raised £20,000 for charity ant its first-ever golf day, which saw 18 teams competing and some well-known faces in attendance.
Held as a joint fundraiser for the Frank Rogers Foundation and mental health in construction charity Mindflow, the event at Formby Hall Golf Club also saw an address delivered by former Everton and England football star Trevor Steven.
Frank Rogers organised the day with support from sponsors including Bootle window and door maker, Warwick North West, which was headline sponsor, JC Fire Protection (Gold sponsor) and JD Doors (Silver sponsor).
Rachel Walker, head of marketing and communications at Frank Rogers, who was charged with coordinating the days activities, said: “What started as an idea to bring together clients, colleagues, friends and supporters turned into an incredible day of fun and fundraising for two great causes, each close to our hearts.
“A huge thank you to every team and player who joined us on the day. From the first tee to the evening celebrations, the atmosphere was amazing and it was truly touching to see so many people come together in support of the Frank Rogers Foundation.
“I’d like to extend my thanks to our sponsors, who helped make the day and its achievements possible. I’d also like to thank Mindflow for partnering with us to raise such an important issue in our sector.”

Dean Rogers, managing director of Frank Rogers, said the foundation had been created in honour of Frank Rogers, his father who founded the firm more than 50 years ago. He emphasised the importance of continuing his legacy through supporting others.
Greg Johnson, chief executive of Warwick, also spoke “passionately” about the importance of partnership, shared values and working together to make a difference.
The 18 teams that took part comprised Frank Rogers’ delivery partners, suppliers, contractors and businesses from the firm’s professional network.
In the evening legendary Liverpool comedian Stan Boardman provided entertainment and presided over a charity auction where a close to a remarkable £20,000 was raised.
Rachel added: “We want to thank the players, congratulate the winners, and show our gratitude to everyone who donated, supported, sponsored or contributed in any way to making the day so memorable.”
