Former Liverpool FC executive chef Chris Marshall is to take on the same role at Liverpool catering firm Relish.

Chris will oversee all culinary operations for Relish which now looks after catering at The Venue at The Royal Liver Building as well as working at major venues including Liverpool Town Hall, St George’s Hall and Croxteth Hall.

He arrives at Relish with a wealth of experience, having most recently worked one-to-one with Premier League footballers, providing them with nutritional advice during his six-year stretch as executive chef at LFC.

Prior to his time with the Premier League club, Chris headed the opening of Liverpool’s Panoramic 34 as executive chef, as well as the city’s Radisson Hotel. His 30-year career also includes five years working with the late restaurateur and TV chef Gary Rhodes in venues across London and Manchester.

Chris’s culinary expertise saw him gain national prominence when he won The Stadium Events & Hospitality Award’s Chef Team of the Year award with Liverpool FC in 2018. His devotion to the industry saw Panoramic 34 voted the 26th best restaurant in the country the second year after opening.

“I am incredibly excited to get back into a working kitchen and be part of the team, where I’ll seek to continue and build on the reputation of excellence and be part of the company’s future.”

Relish has also recently announced the opening of a brand-new café bar in Liverpool’s The Capital building this summer that will provide top-quality food, drink and service. Chief executive Chris Foulkes added: “Chris is an ambitious and talented chef who comes from a rich and reputable culinary background.

“He is passionate about food and the development of those he works with, his dedication is contagious, and I am confident Relish will go from strength to strength with him at the wheel.”
