Businesses in the Liverpool city region and across the UK are already exporting their goods and services to the US – and a free event in Liverpool in November will show you how you can join them.

Liverpool-based loan and equity provider MSIF is teaming up with the Department for International Trade (DIT) to host the breakfast session on Thursday, November 9.

Taking place at Oh Me Oh My in West Africa House, Water Street, the event is aimed at those looking to export to the US for the first time and for those already exporting but looking to expand their reach.

GDP growth in the US in 2016 was 1.6% and is expected to rise to 2.3% in 2017 on a GDP of $18.56 trillion and a marketplace of 323m people.

It is the single biggest consumer market in the world, with average consumer income of $56,516.

The UK will be looking to strike a favourable trade deal with the US post-Brexit and, with the expanded Port of Liverpool facing the right way for the first time in decades, there may be even more opportunities for local companies looking to export.

Guest speaker will be Roger Frampton, one of three entrepreneurs who founded ExportAction to assist UK companies establish, develop and operate in the US.

It has so far helped more than 250 UK companies across all sectors to market in the US.

Experts from the DIT will be on hand to advise on the support available to companies looking to export and MSIF will advise on the funding available to help your company grow.

The event starts at 7.30am and finishes at 9am for people needing to get to work but there will be an opportunity beyond that or further questions. An American-style breakfast will be provided.
