High-end student lettings firm opens new office in Liverpool
A Liverpool property firm, which specialises in luxury student accommodation market has opened a new headquarters in the south of the city.
Luxury Student Homes (LSH) has launched its new office on Smithdown Road, on the site of a former retail unit that had been lying derelict for 10 years.
Established early last year, LSH is owned and operated by Neil Colquhoun and Lee Grierson who both attended the University of Liverpool in the mid-1990s.
The pair saw a gap of potential at the higher end of the student accommodation market.
Mr Colquhoun said:
“The days of the traditional student digs are over and our offering is all about providing the type of accommodation that our students are used to in their own homes while offering a fantastic tenant service and a cool place to live.”
Both Mr Colquhoun and Mr Grierson have been involved in the Liverpool rental market since 1999, covering a variety of different sectors, before deciding to focus on the student market in 2011 with their own properties.
LSH also offer both an investment and development service via its sister companies, LSH Investments and LSH Developments, making it easier for potential investors to invest in the student property market in Liverpool.
Mr Colquhoun said:
“Our typical returns are in the 10%-15% range and we think this compares very favourably with anything else out there at this moment,”
THe LSH team is now five-strong and Mr Grierson added:
“It’s great for Neil and I to be able to invest in the city.”
