Golfers throughout Merseyside are being invited to play alongside ex-Liverpool legend and Sky Sports pundit Phil Thompson in his second golf event of 2015 to mark the tenth anniversary of his support for charity Nugent Care as Patron.

Sponsored by Hardie Brack Chartered Surveyors, the event will take place at Houghwood, St Helens on Thursday 17th September and the Liverpool-based charity are looking for keen players to take part.

Phil Thompson, who has been Patron for Nugent Care for nine years, said:

“I’m thrilled to be hosting the second golf event of 2015 to mark my 10th year of golf events in support of Nugent Care. The day is always fantastic fun and each event raises money that supports important causes throughout the North West.

“We’re always in need of people to donate prizes so if you’re willing to enter a team or make a donation, your contribution will go to people who really need it.”

Registration for teams of four golfers must be completed by Friday 14th August 2015 at a cost of £375.  The price includes an 18-hole round of golf, a bacon barm and coffee upon arrival, three course meal and after dinner speeches from Phil Thompson and a special guest.

In its 134 year history, Nugent Care has supported thousands of vulnerable children and adults across Merseyside and the North West, and provides them with residential, educational and community care.
