Liverpool city region law firm Brown Turner Ross (BTR) has announced the appointment of Robert Morris as its new chief executive.

This is the first time BTR have created such a role, joining the trend of recent years for law firms to appoint non fee earners to senior roles to drive forward the commercial growth of their businesses.

Robert has joined BRT from another Merseyside law firm, Bond Turner, where he had been head of operations since joining the outfit in November 2023. He was also previously a partner at Keoghs Solicitors.

He has been tasked with continuing the growth of BTR which has its headquarters in Southport and another office in Liverpool city centre. In October 2024 the firm opened a third office in Formby.

That expansion saw the BTR team grow by 25% from 40 to 50 employees across all departments with plans for additional recruitment. Further investment is also being made in technology to update and streamline client systems and services.

“It is an exciting time to join a forward-thinking progressive business.”

Married with two children, Robert lives in the Ribble Valley. He is also a non-executive director of CILEX (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives).
