Liverpool law firm Bond Turner remains bullish about its growth prospects despite reporting falls in both revenues and pre-tax profits.

Based at The Plaza in St Paul’s Square, Bond Turner employs more than 750 people and specialises in personal injury, credit hire, housing disrepair clinical and professional negligence and group actions, particularly against global automotive makers over emissions.

In its accounts for the 12 months to December 31, 2025, posted on Companies House, Bond Turner is reporting revenues down 7% to £54.5m with pre-tax profits falling 38% to £3.7m.

In the annual report director Samantha Moss said that investment into its technology and operational strategy, alongside an increase to performance-based earnings, had seen staffing costs rise to £34.8m from £32.9m in 2024.

“Investment in new staff inevitably impacts reported performance as costs are incurred on appointment and, as always, revenues for settlements do not reach maturity for some months,” she explained.

Bond Turner has continued its investment in diesel emissions claims in 2025, managing active claims against manufacturers including Mercedes-Benz, Vauxhall, BMW/ Mini, Peugeot / Citroen, and Renault / Nissan.

Samantha added: “During 2025, the business continued its investment in all business streams, both long-standing and newer initiatives. Credit hire, housing repair and group actions remain a key part of the business, having a long-standing successful track record in these particular fields.

“High value personal injury claims arising from various types of non-fault scenarios, clinical negligence and professional negligence have continued to see substantial growth and investment.

In 2024 Bond Turner secured a new £16m working capital facility with Lloyds Bank. This provides funding for the business to allow management to take advantage of opportunities for investment as they arise.

“Trading to date remains in line with management expectation as the business has continued to invest in its staff and infrastructure, albeit the court system continues to impact case settlements with ongoing delays and adjourned hearings,” she added.
