Law firm JMW has brought in Sally Stanway to be a senior associate in its Liverpool office.

Manchester-based JMW set up its Liverpool operation in May 2018, focused on family law, after poaching the family team from rival DWF. Ms Stanway brings a wealth of experience of family law to the practice.

Having trained at Liverpool law firm, Morecrofts, she spent some time in Manchester at Ward Hadaway, eventually returning home to Chester, joining JMW from Allington Hughes.

Joining the Liverpool team, which is headed by surrogacy specialist Beverly Jones, Ms Stanway will strengthen the team’s expertise in divorce and financial matters for married and unmarried couples as well as child arrangement matters.

She is experienced in divorce and the dissolution of civil partnerships, cohabitee disputes and domestic abuse. She is also credited by Resolution as a specialist family lawyer with particular specialisms in cohabitation, the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act and complex financial remedies.
