Drinks giant Southern Comfort has unveiled its limited edition 2023 Mardi Gras bottle – designed by Liverpool artist John Culshaw.
This is the third edition of the Southern Comfort limited edition Mardi Gras design, which features a ‘party on every bottle’.
People can scan the bottle’s QR code to be in with a chance of winning a trip to the home of Southern Comfort, New Orleans, for Mardi Gras 2024.
Under the guidance of New Orleans-based street artist, Brandan ‘BMIKE’ Odums the design for this year’s bottle has been delivered by John Culshaw, “inspired by the sights, sounds and tastes of Mardi Gras in New Orleans”.
A painter and decorator by trade, John is described as an “up and coming” artist. He was also behind the colourful mural of Ringo Starr which he created on the side of The Empress pub in Toxteth early in 2022. This limited edition bottle is now available in UK supermarkets.
Mardi Gras, aka Fat Tuesday, originates in New Orleans where people come together in their masses to celebrate the first party of the year. There is a “party on every corner”.
