Liverpool mechanical and electrical engineering consultancy Steven Hunt & Associates has secured seven new deals.
The firm, which this year celebrates its 30th anniversary, has landed two big residential contracts in recent weeks – on an eight-storey £11m residential block in Stevenage, Hertfordshire and a 115-bed £6m student accommodation project in Gloucester.
And, building on its reputation in the healthcare sector, Steven Hunt has also been appointed by The Christie Private Care, in association with HCA, to design a new operating theatre at the Manchester hospital – a project worth £5m.
Also, Leeds General Infirmary has selected the Steven Hunt team to embark on a new project to replace a number of the hospital’s existing theatres.
The Speke-based firm has also been appointed by Edge Hill University in West Lancashire, Stoke-on-Trent City Council and Merseyside Police, to join their respective supplier frameworks, again.
Steve Hunt, managing director and founder of Steven Hunt & Associates, said: “If you had told me back in 1989 that in 30 years time the company would still be here, and still be flourishing, I probably would not have believed you.
“We are having a fantastic year so far, and we are thrilled to be able to announce these exciting new project wins, especially during a period of great uncertainty in the marketplace due to Brexit, and at a time when the healthcare sector has been hit particularly hard with budget cuts and a spending freeze.”
