Liverpool firm Rise Construction Framework has won four national awards recognising its work in promoting social value across the North West.

Located in the Baltic Triangle, Rise provides the public-sector with procurement services. It invests profits directly into community prevention and intervention services that some of the most vulnerable people in society rely on.

Services funded by Rise include domestic violence support, homelessness services, wellbeing, youth services and support for care leavers.

In 2023 so far it has won the Built Environment Social Value Trailblazer Award, the Good Small Business Community Enterprise Award, the Go Awards (excellence in procurement) Social Value Award.

And, in the last few days, the team has won the SME Social Value Leadership Award at the National Social Value awards in London.

Rise Director Sara Lawton herself received a personal award earlier this year from the High Sheriff of Merseyside for her work supporting communities.

She said: “I couldn’t be prouder of our team and I am thrilled at the recognition of our life-changing work. Rise has always pushed the boundaries of social value, we work in a competitive market but hold firm our belief that profit and purpose can co-exist.

“Our recent award wins demonstrate that we are leading the way when it comes to business with purpose.

“Investing profits into communities not only makes public-sector money work harder but invested in the right way, can help to tackle real societal issues”.

Grahame Steed, chair of the GO Awards judging panel, added: “In a year when the standards of the UK National GO Awards were higher than ever, Rise ’s success is all the more significant. The recognition they are receiving now is fully deserved.
