Liverpool Loves officially launches for 2017
Liverpool Loves organisers have revealed the line-up which will entertain festival goers next month, with further headline acts still to be announced.
The festival was officially launched last week at Hilton Liverpool ahead of Liverpool Loves Business, the one-day event aimed at entrepreneurs and SMEs.
Delegates were welcomed by Festival Director Josh Boyd and the Lord Mayor of Liverpool Cllr Malcolm Kennedy, before Liverpool Loves Business’s full programme of seminars and keynote speeches began.
The event, which takes place on Saturday August 5 and Sunday August 6, will welcome established and up-and-coming singers and musicians who will take to the main stage in Derby Square.
Saturday’s line-up will be curated by The Guide Liverpool and SoulFest, and will run from 11am to 9pm.
Sunday’s programme will run from 11am to 7pm, hosted by The Rider Podcast with John Gibbons from The Anfield Wrap.
Both days will feature a street food market and festivals bars.
The programme kicks off with Liverpool Media Academy Future Stars, featuring performances from young musicians and dancers, with SoulFest taking over the action at 12.30pm.
And from 5pm, The Guide Liverpool programmes the main stage, with music coming from Pixey, Delphina Kings and Sub Blue, with headliners yet to be announced.
On the Sunday live music fans can enjoy performances courtesy of The Rider Podcast.
Edgar Jones, Natalie McCool, Red Rum Club, The Shipbuilders, Stillia, Boston Shakers, The Protagonists, The Rackets, Ovvls and Joshua Hall are all set to perform.
This year Liverpool Loves will take place across two locations on two days, with Liverpool ONE recently announced as the second site.
Liverpool ONE will host a programme of family and community activities as part of the Wellbeing Zone across both Thomas Steers Way and Chavasse Park.
Liverpool Loves, organised by Orb CIC, is a celebration of all things Liverpool – with four core themes of business, culture, food and well-being.
More programme details will be announced in the coming weeks.
