A £200,000 floating aqua park opening on Liverpool’s waterfront in May is looking for 20 full-time and part-time workers to act as “aqua guides”.
Adventure Dock Co is an “adrenaline-fuelled”, 92-metre inflatable aqua park which will include free-fall slides – some reaching heights of almost 4 metres.
Made up of more than 50 joined-up inflatable obstacles, including the Tire Run, Ninja Jump and Dragon Tail, Adventure Dock is billed as the must-visit attraction in Liverpool this summer.
Now Industry Wake, the company behind the attraction at Duke’s Dock, close to ACC Liverpool, is on the hunt for qualified lifeguards to staff the attraction through the summer.
Potential new recruits will need excellent team working skills, as well as a pool/beach lifeguard qualification (NPLQ/NBLQ) and experience in previous customer-facing roles. Desired skills and qualifications include first aid training, a DBS certificate and a safeguarding certificate.
Tim Woodhead, creator of The Adventure Dock, said: “We are looking to recruit approximately 20 fun-loving but enthusiastic people to work as aqua guides this summer.
For anyone who loves water, likes being active and is looking for a job that goes beyond the 9-5, this could be the perfect opportunity.
“We are currently a small but dedicated team and we want to make some life-long memories for both the customers and the staff. We are already busy with enquiries so we would love to hear from anyone who is up for the challenge to get the summer started now.”
As well as lifeguard work, Adventure Dock is also creating opportunities for long-term, full-time employment within the company, with admin and planning jobs also available throughout the off-season.
To register your interest, send your CV to hello@adventuredock.co.uk, with interviews taking place during the week commencing March 12. Those currently working abroad will also be able to complete their interviews via Skype or conference call.
